Dear Laurel Families,

I am thrilled to welcome you all back to Laurel Elementary Magnet School! My name is Erika Lopez, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of Laurel Elementary Magnet School of Innovation and Career Exploration. As we embark on the 2024-2025 school year, I look forward to building strong relationships with each of you. Our focus is on providing a comprehensive program that addresses the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of our students. Our theme this year is “Helping Minds and Hearts Grow”. This is our commitment to all of our students.

Parents and guardians, your support is invaluable to us. We invite you to be active participants in your child's educational journey. Whether through volunteering, attending school events, or engaging in parent-teacher conferences, your involvement enriches our entire school community. I am excited to welcome you all back to Laurel on August 15th. Our Back to School Night is on August 21st at 6:00 pm. Let's make this year unforgettable, filled with laughter, joy, and meaningful learning experiences. Together, we will make a positive impact on the world, one young heart at a time. Laurel Communication Tools

Providing our Laurel community with timely information is a priority. We communicate with our families using a variety of tools, Parent Square, email & Instagram.
